MESR-100 V2 Auto-ranging Capacitor ESR Meter with Wide Measurement Range

The MESR-100 V2 is an auto-ranging capacitor ESR and low Ohm meter with a measuring range from 0.001 to 100.0R, and support for in-circuit testing. This device uses a true 100 KHz sine wave to measure the ESR value, providing accurate results equivalent to the testing methods used by capacitor manufacturers. By using 100kHz to remove the impedance 1/(2piF*C), the impedance becomes small, allowing for the measurement of the true series resistor value. This makes it possible to determine whether a capacitor is in good condition or if it is damaged.

In addition to the wide measurement range of >1uF, the MESR-100 V2 offers an accuracy of up to 1%, with measuring voltage of <40mV RMS. The device is powered by an external 5V micro USB and has an operating current of 0.02A.

Features of the MESR-100 V2 include the ability to apply less than 15mV DC or peak to peak on a good capacitor, making it suitable for in-circuit testing during the repair of TVs, LCDs, audio boards, and more. It also has a dual terminal for fast and easy inspection of the internal resistance of the capacitor, along with a printed ESR table for quick checks. The device is equipped with a SMD alligator clip for more accurate testing, and its surface is copper plated for anti-corrosion and oxidation resistance.

Please note that the Capacitance Meter is designed for testing the internal resistance of the capacitor, not for testing capacitance value. The device is powered by 2 AA 1.5V batteries (not included) and has a battery life of over 80 hours.
