Our Mini USB Interface is designed to provide a wide range of applications, operating on a DC5V power supply and including a battery compartment. With the capability to apply less than 15mV DC or peak to peak on a good capacitor, our capacitance ESR meter can be utilized as an in-circuit test, making it suitable for various uses such as repairing TV, LCD, and audio boards.
Equipped with a dual terminal for fast and easy inspection of the internal resistance of the capacitor, our ESR meter also features a printed ESR table for quick checks. The inclusion of a SMD alligator clip facilitates more accurate testing, while the surface copper plating ensures anti-corrosion and oxidation resistance.
The method of action involves a series resistor inside the capacitor, using 100kHz to remove the impedance 1/(2piF*C), allowing for the measurement of the true series resistor value. With the ability to distinguish between a bad/damaged capacitor and one in good condition, our ESR meter offers accurate and durable results in a variety of applications.
