This reduces the impedance, allowing for the measurement of the true series resistor value. This theory allows for the measurement of whether a capacitor is bad/damaged or in good condition.

You can easily select the mode by pressing the "Measuring" button or the "SELECT" button until the continuity symbol appears on the screen. The meter applies less than 15mV DC or peak to peak on a good capacitor, allowing for in-circuit testing.
